Description
We are searching for an individual to fill the Business Development position for the Energy and Sustainability group’s Northeast region. This individual should have excellent business development and client management skills to increase sales of our Energy and Sustainability services for Northeast projects and Northeast clients. Candidates must exhibit excellent business development, technical knowledge and customer service. An ideal candidate will have past experience in Government, Healthcare, Education, and private client market sectors. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for business development initiatives that will aggressively grow company revenue by increasing sales of energy and sustainability services (Commissioning, Retro Commissioning, and Energy Audit Services) to new and existing clients
  • Actively cross-sell and introduce additional services to existing customers
  • Plan, prioritize and execute personal sales activities towards achieving agreed business goals and metrics 
  • Maintain and develop existing and new clients through appropriate sales initiatives
  • Regularly update and utilize CRM tools and systems to effectively manage business development activities providing transparency to the Company
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
  • Respond to requests for proposals on behalf of Company
  • Drive profitability by enhancing sales and customer service
  • Exhibit excellent business development, customer service, and leadership skills while working within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Assist in the recruitment of essential field and management staff to promote the Company's active growth
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
  • Experience either delivering or selling environmental consulting services or engineering consulting services
  • Self-driven and results-oriented achiever
  • A natural forward thinker who critically assesses and takes pride in own performance
  • Proven experience and comfort level in dealing with senior company executives
  • A team player able to establish strong relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to travel when necessary
